Mx proteins
GTPases (70-100 kD) found in interferon treated cells. Mx1 is found in the nucleus and determines the resistance of mice to influenza A virus by blocking transcription of the viral RNA genome. Other Mx proteins are cytoplasmic and are related to dynamin.
