Canadian Physician shot recovering Following Operation

A Canadian physician who was one of the wounded in a shooting in a new york hospital a week’s father claims that his son is doing well after undergoing surgery.

Justin Timperio of St. Catharines, Ont., was among six people injured following a former employee of Bronx-Lebanon Hospital opened fire Friday, killing a physician.

Timperio’s father, Luciano Timperio, says that his son was taken between nine and six times, leading to damage to his liver and other organs.

In an interview with The Canadian Press, Luciano states although his son has an extensive road to a complete recovery, the 2 surgeries performed Monday went “very well.”

He states Justin Timperio is sedated and unable to speak.

The younger Timperio is a graduate of Brock University in St. Catharines and of the American University of the Caribbean.

His father said he started working about three years ago, for the component of his training. He was then accepted to the hospital family residency plan.

Lots of the other victims of Friday’s shooting were also doctors in the hospital.

The gunman, Dr. Henry Bello, left Bronx-Lebanon in 2015 because of allegations of sexual harassment. He returned Friday using an assault rifle hidden beneath a laboratory jacket and shot seven people, killing one girl, before fatally shooting himself.
